Partner Programs

This page sets out the terms for our two partner programs. It is the reference both sides work from, so please read it before applying.

The two programs

Volume and institutional licensing is for organizations that need Almudio plugins on more than a couple of machines: universities, schools, conservatoires, studios, and game studios.

The creator program is for people who publish content to an audience working in audio, music, podcasting, VR, or video, and who want to earn a share of the sales they bring us.

They are separate. Applying to one does not enroll you in the other.

Volume and institutional licensing

Licenses do not expire. You buy once and those machines stay licensed, with no subscription and nothing for a department to re-approve at the start of a term.

Each license carries a machine allowance, and activation is enforced against it. A teaching lab is normally covered by a single license with an allowance matching the number of machines in the room, rather than by many separate licenses.

We can invoice against a purchase order where paying by card is not practical. Education pricing is available to accredited teaching institutions for teaching use, and we may ask for an institutional email address or evidence of accreditation.

Volume and education pricing is quoted per organization, based on the number of machines and how they are used. There is no published price ladder.

Creator program: who qualifies

To be approved as a creator partner:

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You publish content for an audience working in audio, music, podcasting, VR, or video, and you publish regularly.
• You have actually used the plugin you are promoting.
• The content is your own.
• You do not operate a coupon, voucher, or deal aggregator site, and you do not bid on Almudio brand terms in paid search.

We review every application by hand and we may decline one without giving a reason.

How the creator program works

Approved partners get their own discount code. You share the code with your audience, they use it to buy Almudio plugins at a reduced price, and you earn a share of every sale made with it.

The size of the discount and your share of each sale are set in your individual partner agreement, so that we can fit the arrangement to how you work.

What your share is calculated on. Your share is a percentage of the price actually paid for the plugin, after the discount your code applies, and excluding any sales tax or VAT. Tax is collected by our payment provider and passed to the relevant authority, so it is never ours to share. Refunded and charged-back sales are excluded, as set out below.

Your code is the only way sales are attributed to you. A sale counts as yours whenever your code is used at checkout, with no time limit and nothing for you to track. A purchase made without your code does not count, even if the buyer found us through you, so please make sure your audience knows to use it.

Commission is earned on paid sales. Where a plugin is being given away free, no commission accrues on it, because there is no sale to share. Attribution as recorded by our payment provider is what determines commission.

Accepting these terms

Applications are made by email. If we approve you, our approval email will confirm your discount code and your share, and will refer to this page. By using your code or accepting a payment from us, you agree to these terms as they stand on that date.

Disclosure is required

Earning commission from us is a material connection, and it must be disclosed to your audience. This is a legal requirement in most territories and it is a condition of the program, not a courtesy.

The disclosure has to be genuinely noticeable: clear wording such as “ad” or “sponsored” where viewers actually see it, spoken aloud in video or audio rather than only written in a description, and not buried in a block of hashtags or below a “more” fold. Where the platform provides a paid partnership label, use it in addition to the written disclosure. We may ask you to correct a post that does not disclose properly.

You must not make claims about our software that are not true, present results you did not get, or imply capabilities the plugin does not have. We will give you accurate information about what it does; please describe it in your own words.

Payment

• Commission is paid by PayPal or bank transfer, whichever you prefer.
• There is no minimum payout on PayPal. Whatever you have earned is what we send. For bank transfer we ask for a balance of at least 50 USD first, because an international transfer can cost more in fees than a small payment is worth. Anything below that carries over rather than being lost, and you can switch to PayPal at any time to be paid sooner.
• Payouts run monthly, in the first week of the month, for the month before.
• Commission on a sale is held until the refund window on that sale has closed, so that a refunded sale never becomes a paid commission. Our refund terms are on the refund policy page.
• Keeping your payment details correct is your responsibility. We cannot recover a payment sent to details you gave us that turned out to be wrong.
• Any bank charges or transfer fees on your side are yours, and any tax on what you earn is yours to declare. Where the law requires us to withhold tax from a payment, we will withhold it and tell you.

Refunds, chargebacks, and self-referral

If a sale attributed to you is refunded or charged back, the commission on it is reversed and deducted from your next payout. If your balance is already negative, we carry the deficit forward rather than invoicing you for it.

You cannot use your own code for your own purchases, and you cannot arrange for others to route your own purchases through you. We reverse commission on self-referred sales and it is grounds for removal from the program.

Inactive partners

If your code records no sales for twelve consecutive months, we may treat the partnership as inactive and retire the code. If you have a balance when that happens we will pay it, whatever the amount and whichever method you chose, rather than keeping it. We will email you before we retire a code.

Our relationship

Being a partner does not make you an employee, agent, or representative of Almudio, and it does not create a partnership or joint venture in the legal sense. You are independent: you decide what you publish and when, you cover your own costs, and you are responsible for your own taxes.

You cannot enter into commitments on our behalf, speak for us, or hold yourself out as able to do either. Please describe yourself as a partner or an affiliate rather than as part of Almudio.

Confidentiality

Your discount and your share are specific to your agreement. Please keep those figures, and anything else non-public we share with you, to yourself. You are of course free to tell your audience that you earn a commission, and the disclosure rules above require you to.

Your data

To run the program we hold your name, email address, the platforms you publish on, your payment details, and a record of sales made with your code. We use it to operate the partnership and to pay you, and we do not sell it. How we handle personal data generally, including your rights over it, is set out in our privacy policy.

Liability

We provide the program as it is. We do not promise any particular level of sales, earnings, or traffic, and nothing here should be read as a forecast of what you will earn.

Except where the law does not allow us to limit it, our total liability to you in connection with the program is limited to the commission we owe you at the time the claim arises, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost opportunities.

If we are held responsible for something you did in breach of these terms, including a failure to disclose or an untrue claim about our software, you agree to cover the reasonable costs that result.

Ending the arrangement

Either side can end the arrangement at any time, in writing, for any reason. If you leave or we remove you, commission already earned on qualifying sales is still paid on the normal schedule, unless you were removed for fraud or for breaching the disclosure or promotion rules above.

Once a partnership ends your code stops working, so sales made after that point are not attributed to you. Please take down or update content that still presents you as a current partner.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. Changes apply to sales made after the change, never retroactively to commission you have already earned. We will tell active partners by email before a change takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and the competent courts of Israel have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If something goes wrong, please email us first. Nearly everything is quicker to fix that way than through a formal process.

Who you are contracting with

Almudio is the trading name of Almog Harari, a sole proprietor based in Israel. Sales of our plugins are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record.
