3D Panner is a spatial audio plugin that places and moves sounds anywhere in 3D space around the listener, height, depth, and width, using HRTF-based binaural rendering. Beyond static placement, it gives you:

• Motion with LFOs: automate sound movement around the 3D sphere with per-source LFOs. Free-run at your own rate, sync to your host tempo, reverse direction, or set them to random for organic, evolving movement.
• Frequency splitting: split a sound into up to eight frequency bands and position each band independently in space, so your lows can stay locked in the center while your highs orbit the listener.

It's built for producers who want immersive, three-dimensional mixes without a complicated setup.

Right now, 3D Panner is completely free. It stays free through August 15, 2026. After that it becomes a one-time purchase, capped at $30, no subscription, ever. Anything you activate while it's free stays yours for good, so it's well worth grabbing now.

Right now, 3D Panner is available as VST3 and AU plugins, on macOS and Windows. Pro Tools support (AAX) and a Standalone app are coming soon in the next few updates, we're actively working on them. If you need AAX for Pro Tools, contact us and we'll let you know the moment it lands.

3D Panner runs on both macOS and Windows. The Mac version is fully notarized by Apple, so it installs cleanly with no security prompts. The Windows version works great today, and we're actively working on getting it fully signed and verified too, so the Windows security warning you may see during install will disappear in an upcoming update (it's completely safe to install in the meantime, see the security-warning question below).

Linux isn't supported yet. We're actively looking into whether a Linux version is worth building, so if you're a Linux producer who'd want 3D Panner, please contact us and let us know. It genuinely helps us decide.

• About 1 GB of free disk space (3D Panner installs a ~950 MB set of high-quality HRTF spatial-audio data).
• 8 GB of RAM or more recommended.
• CPU: 3D Panner does real-time binaural (HRTF) processing and can split your sound into up to eight independently-positioned frequency bands, so it's more demanding than a basic panner. It runs comfortably on any recent multi-core CPU.

Any DAW that supports VST3 or AU plugins: Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Reaper, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig, and more.

Refunds are handled by Paddle, our payment processor, and returned to your original method (the license is deactivated when refunded). Free downloads cost nothing, so there's nothing to refund there. Download the installer from your account, run it, and open 3D Panner in your DAW as a VST3 or AU plugin.

Open 3D Panner in your DAW, click Activate, paste your license, and submit. Just make sure you're online for that first activation, and that a VPN or firewall isn't turned on, as that can block it from going through. After that, you're all set.

Your first activation needs to be online. A firewall, VPN, or antivirus can sometimes get in the way. If activation won't complete: connect to a different network for a minute (a phone hotspot works great), or briefly pause your VPN or firewall, then click Activate. On a work or school network, ask your IT team to allow licensing.almudio.com. Once you're activated, it keeps working offline from then on.

That "Windows protected your PC" message comes from Microsoft SmartScreen, which flags newer apps that haven't built up download history yet. It doesn't mean anything is wrong, 3D Panner is safe. Click More info, then Run anyway to continue. We're actively working to remove this warning so future installs are seamless.

Each license activates on up to 2 computers.

Each license covers 2 computers. If you've replaced a machine or reinstalled your OS and hit the limit, just contact us and we'll reset your activations.
